Dalkeith Thistle appoint Kevin Twaddle to lead the side until the end of the season, assisted by Andy Donlevy.

The Jags are delighted to announce that local lad Kevin Twaddle has agreed to manage the team for the league run in.

We are also very pleased to welcome back former player and assistant manager Andy Donlevy who will help Kevin for the remaining fixtures this season - he knows the club inside out and has been to most of our home games as a supporter.

As a player Twaddle spent ten years in the top flight with St Johnstone, Raith Rovers, Motherwell and Hearts and has a wealth of experience in the game.

Latterly he was co-manager at Haddington Athletic and prior to that he enjoyed success in the East of Scotland League as Lothian Thistle Hutchison Vale manager, with his young side winning the league in 2014.

Kevin is buzzing to be back to the game he loves after a short period out, 'I'm really happy to get involved again and will do all I can to help the club - We've basically got 5 cup finals over the next eight weeks - the players have got themselves into a great position in this league and we've got to make sure they're right up for the challenge ahead.'

Kevin and Andy will be in the dugout for our next fixture away to Burntisland on Saturday, and we wish them the very best of luck.
