Dalkeith edge it against sprightly 'Gers
Pre-season winning run continues with victory over Berwick 20s
Paul Tansey helped himself to another hat-trick making it three from three matches.
Dalkeith started brightly with a goal in the first few minutes, with Tansey cleverly chipping over the Berwick keeper from the edge of the box before adding a second shortly after, and at that point it looked as though the Jags would comfortably dominate the game.
However Berwick dug in and got back into the match, responding with two well worked goals to go in level at the break.
Both sides played decent football in the second half without either creating too much by way of goal-scoring opportunities. As the game wore on Dalkeith looked the more likely to edge it, and it was a trademark Tansey left footed rasper from a tight angle which won the game in the dying minutes.
A good test for the Jags ahead of our visit to Musselburgh Athletic at the weekend.
